question not very clear . write complete statement. capacitors in parallel or series . give the comlete circuit.

Use 1/2 cv^2 formula for energy change.....................=heat liberated

heat genrated = (CV^2)/2 - (CV^2)/2
= (12^2 * 4)/2 - (12^2 * 2)/2
= (144*4)/2 - (144*2) /2
= 288 - 144
= 144 jolues
