On a piece of paper it is written "What ever is written on the other side of this paper is false".
And on the other side it is written "What ever is written on the other side of this paper is true".
Which statement is true ??

so the second statement is false.
so the second state becomes "What ever is written on the other side of this paper is false"(i.e. the true statement)
which shows that the first statement was true.
so the first one is true.
Got my point?
Ha! Ha! Ha!!
this is da most succinct and classic paradox. its referred 2 as a tautology coz its redundant. it can b replaced by a simple statement 'this statement is false' here, as the point of reference changes and da intial condition then becomesa premise which is exactly opposite it cant b said clearly which staement is true
c if v take the 1st statement 2 b true....
it says the statement on the other side is false..
which means the statement on the second side is false...
i.e. The statement written on the first side cant b true which is contradictory to our supposition..
Whereas if v take the second side 2 b true
i.e. the statement on the first side is true...
the statement on the second side is false...
which is again contradictory to our supposition..
i agree with necro philia...
its a paradox
