a thief was there in town long ago.he used to say confidently that he would steal a particular house that day and he would do it.one day he told his friends that he would steal the palace of the princess of that town.night had happened and the thief went into palace of princess without anyones notice and he found a box made of gold and diamonds in the princess room and he opened the box.ut another box was put in it.like that he opened 25 small boxes and finally found a substance which he ate and went away without stealing.what is the substance he had eaten and why he has not stolen? can anybody answer this question within 1 hour.this is a simple logical question.try this!

the answer is that he ate a pinch of salt and acc to the our traditions one who eats salt will be confidential to others (like a dog)

I think I have a better answer.( It's just my guess)

What he ate was an amnesia inducer(dunno how it happened to be there).

But after eating that , he simply forgot why he came there. So he went away.

PS: This puzzle seems to be of the "Lateral Thinking" type. So multiple answers may be possible.

cyborg is 'lateral' in his modus operandi. tht was well thought of. as for krishna, i agree his answer was lame coz there are a million ways i can say( if entropy doesnt get da better of me) to contradict tht answer

any box would either adsorb, absorb or react with common salt hence, it wont remain

confidentiality is a matte rof perspective n faith, which on a metaphysical scale has nothing 2 do wid da question.

as far as my reply goes, tht small thing cud b an analgesic or prbly any placebo tht wud boost his temperament n body functioning
