try this riddle

u have to cut a cake into 8 pieces with just 3 cuts

I am assuming the cake is circular, rather cylindrical with the height relatively smaller than the radius. First cut: along the diameter. Put one semicircle on top of another. Second cut: bisecting the diameter perpendicularly. Third cut: parallel to the diameter, midway. So you now have four pieces of the first semicircle and similar four pieces from the second; total 8 pieces. Yes, pieces are dissimilar in size and shape, but it is not specified that the pieces have to be same.

cut it once horizatlly and then cut vertically and then again cut it vertically at 90 degree angle with earlier vertical cut .

how bout this. cut twice across da diameters 2 get four pieces. put ol of them 1 over da other and make a cut through them 2 get 8.
