1 N = 1 kg x 1m/1s^2
let new units be KG, M, S
1N = (KG/2) x (M/2) / (S/2)^2
= KG x M / S^2
Unit of force remains unchanged..

i have a doubt. how come
1N = (KG/2) x (M/2) / (S/2)^2 become kg m / s^2 itself? please clarify me this.

I started off with taking kg m/s^2.. Then I wrote all the old units i terms of the new units.. Now the old units are each half of the new units.. So where there was kg, you write KG/2.. Now there are two 1/2s in the numerator, and two in the denominator. Because it is (S/2)^2=S^2/4) So all these 1/2s cancel, leaving N as it is, and the new units in the same form as the old ones..

Tell you what.. Take a pen and a paper.. And copy down what I've written.. It'll become clear.. Nothing better than a pen and a paper..

When the units are doubled,we are talking of a new system and the units of force in the new system are KGM/S2.The unit KG in new system is similar to kg in old system and so on.So,the units of force in the new system are equivalent to its units in the old system.Hope u got it

F = M L T-2
so if units of mass , length , time are doubled
these cut each other
