Dear All goiit has gone through a series of some [temporary] changes to incorporate the basic needs -like an upgraded editor / equation support for the gang. This is not where we eventually wanna be, but more of a stop gap so that you guys dont suffer anymore. the long term efforts will still be on to bring to you the top notch new look portal soon.
There might be slight iterations before we can stabililise on it. feedback and any issues u guys face are welcome...
* i know i know its a tacky equation... just wanted to test the editor... hee hee

^^^bug found. only title appears when i use editor. no probs with quick reply
good
my wishlist for the new portal
1)good LATEX/alternative for math formulae
2)good compatibility with other browsers ( opera - i still cant put smilies/formulae in)
3)more mods
4)privacy in nudgebook or a pm box + nudgebook
5)more nickels
6) prevent images/files from other sites appearing without the user's concern on this side(protection from trackers)

One more thing.
Can u also enable auto-refresh or something for the latest questions in the site's front page ?
Auto-refresh every 2 or 3 minutes, so tat v r saved the trouble ?

well ........the changes made here are fantastic ..........
but one thing i wud like to mention :
there are many people here from the AB group ...wishing for a Biology thread ....

i think longue is enough for laughter, sports n stuff
and some more :
enable direct quotes, it's a pain to type in those tags
completely revamp the photo uploads, they are pixelated ( avatars and attached pics) and when i download attached pics, they do not download in their native format. please fix that as well.
and added just now out of irritation:) : disable 60sec timelock ( atleast for experienced users)

i checked this one up... edit does update the message body as well. strange u having issues. try clearing up your browser cahce so that all new javascripts are laoded.. n then lets se if u still face the trouble.
btw.. what browser r u using?

there's still an issue of some extra line breaks being added on edit.. but thats the only issue.. which has been reported as a bug. besides that the quality assurance couldn't find anything else :(
