Hello sir.............

i jst wanna say that i think goiit is losing its significance.....................

these days there are no good qs there in this site................only jokes and cool pics etc etc etc.........................

goiit means study wid fun but there is only fun and fun here no study at all..............i also mean that students are jst nudging and nudging without ne qs or ans posted here i m nt pointing to ne particular but some students are like that)

we all come here to study wid fun but i think all are losing interest here

my frnd told me that all are heading to orkut .........and ya sm students are taking this site as orkut...............so i request u to plz tak some action as i don't want that everybody loose interest frm this great site

I also request my frnz nd fellows to give there views and ideas

ya same there i agree . chek out the community shelf . it is filled with absolute shit ... the jokes , girl boy stuf are posted under the academic tag .... for the sake of salutes .
and moreover , good articles on extra info are nnot read and commented by neone .. but chek out the joke portion or the pictures .
it is a height .

absolutely agree wid u.. this site is loosing its oblective of being an aid 4 ppl preparing at home and dont have ne other type of help... the thinks r getting a lil tooo diluted and fun type... THIS site is not 4 fun... have it elsewhere na!! fine probably 1 fun post per 20 acedemic posts is the ratio that is needed to meet the oblective of this site. now its the other way round!!

BUT you have to understand that this is the post JEE time. so its like there are times when you just wanna hang out... there's a time for everything. when counselling begins, more questions and discusions will be around that... so no worries, thats why the forums are all broken down... pick what you want. moreover, now more people will be from 11th class and onwards, so quality of questions will be more simpler, that is when the help of the likes of yourself will be required by them.

So dont worry, the fun is temporary, since exams are getting over, and things are getting easier... come june, its all gonna chnage.

after all v are students only......we know fun is temporary. but this doesn't mean we hav fun all the time...........new students joining this site will b bored as they are new and they want good and understandable answers................

i've got tired of having the dudes predict their ranks etc here... all we do is move the trash posts aout rank predictions and all to non-expert sections. but the anxiety makes people do all this.

however, i think now, that you guys mention it, we have to do something about the rank prediction queries... dunno if its a good thought... but some cleaning needs to be done... lemme see how we can figure it out. as for communty shelf, the non-academic articles with wrong tag will soon be fixed.. mabbe we'll have separate screens to view non-academic and academic articles. this will sure not happen in a day, but we'll figure it out.

keep the grey cells ticking.. bottom line is, u have to use this place to prepare for making a career for yourself. if u just hangout here, then you are wastng ayour time. i'm pretty sure about that... the whole concept is to create one place where you do not have to catch a bus, take time, stand in queues, to clear one doubt in thermodynamics (or mabbe electrostatics :) )...

Yeah himanshu u r absolutely right !! I toooo don't want goiit to be a hangout place like orkut !

As becauz i saw some of them having nudgebook pages filled up to 10 - 15 pages and number of posts very very less ( some even r nil .... well i think the purpose of nudge book was to help increase the interaction of members !! But now itz going the other way round

most r just stuck to nudgebook !!

Here is a bit of constructive criticism for GOIIT and GOIITIANS. I too accept that Goiit is facing this problem. But the first step to solve a problem is to know its cause. In this case there are several. First comes the tendency to run after rates. I have noticed that this tendency has grown manifold compared to the early days of Goiit. If the site can figure out a way to curb the undue importance gained by these rates (at least in the eyes of the Goiitians) then it will be a big step to check the level of non-significant things.
Second comes the attachment some people have with continuous fun. As a solution to this, the non-academic section of Goiit should be completely separated out from the academic one. For instance, if www.goiit.com leads to the academic section then something like www.goiit.com/na could be made to lead to the non-academic one. The academic section can be made to look more sobre and formal, while the non-academic section be colourful. As a result all the fun will shift to the non-academic section and serious works in the academic one. Whenever we get buried with too much of serious works then we can visit the non-academic section for relaxation.
Moreover there is a further step to strengthen Goiit. Many of the Goiitians must be taking some coaching or the other. They must be giving weekly/monthly tests. So, it will be great if some of them( at least one from each institute) can scan the test papers and send them to Goiit. It will take just a few minutes. As a result a strong database of questions will form from which the Goiitians can have a net benefit.
At last, the message to all serious and sincerely working students is that with our combined effort we can very well solve these problems.
