2 is the correct answer the reason is that no unit is given if it was something like 62000 cm or m or N etc. then the answer would be five since in the given question no units are given , only the number is given hence it will have 2 significant figures.

feel my logic............ significant figure is defined for observing the degree of uncertainty.!!!!!!!! 62000 can have aNY NO. OF SIGNIFICANT FIGURES AS IT CAN BE WRITTEN AS 6.2 * 104., 6.20 * 103, ETC......(accordingly SF is not clear) THEREFORE SIGNIFICANT FIGURES ARE not defined for pure numbers. RATE if convinced.
