Yes, life is possible in other planets. Maybe not in our solar system, but in other planets in other galaxies... According to Panspermia ( hypothesis that "seeds" of life exist already in the Universe, that life on Earth may have originated through these "seeds", and that they may deliver or have delivered life to other habitable bodies.) when a big meteorite hit the earth billions of years back, it contained the first seeds of microbacterial life and thus began life. So, panspermia proves life in other planets.
Well this is just my opinion on life in other planets For more info on Panspermia, read about it in wikipedia

no and yes...... scientists say conditions of life are present in many planets(universe)....... there are many incidents where people claim to have seen a UFO unidentified flying object... it is also said that NASA has a flying ssaucer which landed on earth around 1979....
presently USA has agreed to look into this and bring out if there isany truth to this claim made by some lower minds of earth... if you are satisfied rate me plz...

i think that life has to exist on other planets, given the huge size of our universe, there is bound to be some life somewhere, even if only microscopic

Many scientists think it is possible that there is life elsewhere in the Universe, but that finding it may prove difficult.
First of all, we don't know exactly what form life on other planets outside our solar system might take, so it is difficult to know how to search for it. Second, the universe is a big place, and radio signals (and space vehicles) travel too slowly to allow us to find life that is very far away.
We do know something about the conditions on Mars, the planet in our solar system which is most likely to have life, and it turns out to be similar to the conditions in Antarctica (except for the lack of oxygen).
So we can guess what forms of life might be able to survive there, and there are projects under way that will someday send machines to Mars which can look for these kinds of life.

The astronomy world is buzzing with excitement after a distant Earth-like planet that may be home to life forms far more advanced than humans was discovered. The planet orbits a red dwarf The new world is 20.5 light years away - so far it would take astronauts almost five billion years to reach it in the fastest spaceship available now. Gliese 581c is not much bigger than our own planet and is thought to be in the 'habitable zone' of the star it orbits. This means it would be the right temperature to allow liquid water on its surface - considered a must for supporting life as we know it.

if we talk about the possibility of life in ur solar system we should expect only primitive(or even a bit advanced) microbes.....expecting intelligent life forms wud be foolish........but this wud be a breakthrough.....scientists are expecting some some form of life on saturn's moons like titan and encelidus but without success (till now) however if we talk abt intelligent life forms like humans that is possible only in exo planetery systems.if we consider Frank Drakes equation for this there may be millions of worlds like urs out there where life has developed and evolved and some creatures like us have been able to withstand the test of time. (in fact the main aspect of ET is even if life evolved to humans is it being sustained) hope it is clear u may rate...plz

YES THERE IS LIFE. because we define existence of life in certain terms according to our science but there is definetely a lot unknown to us and something out of that could also define what 'extra terrestrial intelligence' means besides just having 2 eyes, 2 ears a man like appearance and speech.

hamare hissab se what is life.. being able to move, express thoughts, and develop civilizations .. but what if outside earth the meaning is actually different.. what if life means something totally different.. they might be living but according to our definitions of life we are not able to distinguish that they are alive... When scientists are looking for life on mars they tried to look for ice and water... that is so wrong.. what if alien species are totally different and depend on different substances and behave totally differently.. - that way we have no idea. if uve seen national geographic and discovery ull understand my point.. theyr are tryin to look for life based on human conditions like atmosphere and water. IS that necessary for all life beings of which we dont even know about

Recent research argues that an atmosphere rich in oxygen is the most likely source of energy for complex life to exist anywhere in the Universe, thereby limiting the number of places life may exist.
Professor David Catling at Bristol University, along with colleagues at the University of Washington and NASA, contend that significant oxygen in the air and oceans is essential for the evolution of multicellular organisms, and that on Earth the time required for oxygen levels to reach a point where animals could evolve was almost four billion years.

yaa but we treat life as complex hydrocarbons.. how do we know that there isnt another system?
