When pea seed and wheat seed are placed in water which of the two will imbibe more water

i think it should be air dried pea seeds instead of pea seed

and then ans. should be air dried pea seed

pea seed bcoz it has more permeable covering whereas wheat seeds have hard seed cots.

hey see this..
pea seeds have greater surface area than wheat due to size...
also.. there is more gap between testa and tegmen in pea seeds....
but in wheat seeds.. pericap is fused so less permeablity and space b/w testa and tegmen......so
pea seeds imbibe more water
