A question on trajectory of a body thrown vertically upward and which is observed by a
Physics

Dear friends,The  car is moving on a road with uniform velocity on the road.A boy has thrown a ball which comes back to him at his place how do an observer sitting inside the car see the trajectory of the ball.

If the man in the car has thrown the ball vertically upwards wrt himself......then the trajectory wil be just lik that of  a ball thrown upwards ......ie a STRAIGHT LINE.

For a man sitting outside the trajectory will be parabolic since the car posess horizontak velocity ..the ball also will gain that horzontal velocity along wit the vertcal velocity provided by the man inside,,,,,,,

If he has thrown the ball making some angle wrt to himself then it will be trajectory from both inside and outside the car

In the first case(first line) it is straight line because the ball possess no horzontal velocity wrt the man in th car................

becas they mov with the same horz velocity......

Thats All Folks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the sec case the trajectry is PARABOLIC (when the man in the car throws the ball  making some angle (not vertical))

It is parabolic motion as observed by a person standing on the road. This is due to the combination of vertical motion of the ball in the car and horizontal velocity of the car with respect to an observer which when superimposed gives rise to parabolic motion of the ball.
