an inductor is having a high resistance to A.Cand low resistance to D.CWhen a D.C voltage having some A.C COMPONENT SUPERIMPOSED ON IT SENDS CURRENT THROUGH AN INDUTANCE TO BALOAD RESISTANCE
1)THE DC VOLTAGE FALLS APPRECIABLY ACROSS THE LOAD & AC CURRENT FALLS BY ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT--(ANS)
2)BOTH AC & DC FALL TO ZERO

accd to me the answer is rite cause in AC circuit inductive reactance also plays a role(i.e. 2*pi*frequency*L) so across AC it will have a higher potential drop..so for the load resistence the potential drop would be lesser..
