IT maybe possible, coil the wire around a pen tightly so that turns touch each other. Coil it till some length, then measure the number of turns and the total length of your coil, then divide. Its inaccurate but wud do the job. I wud use a screw gauge if I had to measure.

You have to use the instrument that has least count of the order of dimension of the object that you intend to measure. Hence screw gauge is the right instrument to measure the diameter of wire.
However, given the only choice and if you are forced and constrained to find its diameter with meter scale only, then the technique would be to form a bunch of very large number of such similar wires say 1000 and then measure the combined thickness, then you can compute the thickness or diameter of single wire.














No, i don't think its possible. U can use screw guage to measure it.
