no-body giving Q, ok ill start it.

Q1) what happens to the focal length of one of the lens formed when an equiconvex lens is cut along its plane of symmetry?

Q2) what is the main use of galvanometer in the potentiometer experiment to determine EMF of a cell, is it to determine magnitude of current?

Ans1) focal length doubles, by using lens maker's formula and putting any one R = infinity.

Ans 2) no, it is used to detect the the direction of current and point where current stops flowing.

there are infinite planes of symmetry but this is the language used by viva teachers. any body has Q...???
