When we dip a circular ring in soap solution and put a thread on it and if we puncture the area outside the thread loop then what will be the shape of thread loop ?

if the thread was in the form of a circular loop the shape would be a circle due to the surface tension of the liquid. Surface tension gives a force equal to 2*T*2*pi*r where r is the radius of the loop onto the outer surface of the loop hence making it circular(as for a given area circle has the maximum surface area and thus the pricked part has the maximum then the other part will have the minimum area[surface tension tends to minimize area]

The thread moves inwards... y becozz.. the water material presnt wich is unpunctured will try to acquire less possible area  due to surface tension and hence will  contract takning  the thread  alongwith it.....
