Because the centripetal force is perpendicular to the instantaneous displacement at all instants.............Hence,

dw = F.dx.cos90⁰ = 0

=> W = Integration(dw) = 0......................

workdone = force * d * cosxat every instant force and displacement is perpendicular to each other. so cos90 = 0 ; So that workdone by centripetal force is zero.

now in circular motion force is perpendicular to displacement at all instances so the work done is
0 as cos pi/2=0.

Because it is always perpendicular to the instantaneous displacement of the particle under the influence of it.

An object moves in a circle at constant speed. The work done by the centripetal forceis zero because:1. the displacement for each revolution is zero2. the average force for each revolution is zero3. there is no friction4. the magnitude of the acceleration is zero5. the centripetal force is perpendicular to the velocity
