The volume of a sphere is 1.76 cm3. The volume of 25 such spheres taking into account the significant figure is?
- 0.44 x 102 cm3
- 44.0 cm3
- 44 cm3
- 44.00 cm3

I think the ans is 44.0cm3.Since the volume given has 3 significant figures,the ans also must have 3 significant figures.

But considering the operation 1.76 x 25, 25 has the least no: of significant digits (2), so why can't the answer be 44 cubic cm?

but what i think is that ur concept is valid when operating on phyysical quantities
becoz 25 spheres means 25 spheres...writing 25.0 spheres does not make any difference

but I think answer should be 44.00 cm^3
see if we treat it like this
1.76 + 1.76 + 1.76-------------------upto 25 times
then answer should be 44.00 cm^3
