I wish to complete my entire physics syllabus (for IIT09, Bitsat, AIEEE& Board) in 4 months from now(Aug-Nov) while doing other subjects side by side. Which of the foll books should I use for theory and which for problems?

(I have all of them)

1) Resnick and Halliday

2) NCERT

3) HC Verma

4) Brilliant Tutorial modules.

If I had 2 yrs, I would have followed what u said. But I have only 4 months. So suggest 1 for theory and 1 for probs 

I think its NCERT

cool. but I feel NCERT sucks... Its written so boringly!(except Chem- probably the only gud NCERT book) 

u shud hv jst a glimpse of the NCERT but as in ur condition...focus more on hcv for solving probs....n get ur concepts cleared..u need nt study theory a lot....i mean read theory for selected topics in which u feel reading will b helpful(from resnick n halliday) otherwise jst devote a lot of time for numericals from HCV

HCV WILL BE GUD FOR SOLVING NUMERICALS AS I THINK IT HAS LESS SUMS THEN OTHERS STILL IT COVERS ALL TOPICS.... AND FOR THEORY RESNICK AND HALLIDAY IS GUD.  YA IF U GET TIME AND THINK THAT A PARTICULAR TOPIC IS NOT THAT CLEAR TO U THEN U CAN CONSULT BT.....

i have the same problem so i suggest that u should solve only solved examples from HCV and  study theory from NCERT because u have to study from it sooner or later .
