1. A point object is placed in front of a thick plane mirror containing a glass slab of refractive index 3/2 and thickness 5cm attached to the reflecting surface of the mirror. The distance between the object and the mirror is 15cm. What is the location of the image with respect to the object and the plane mirror?

due to glass slab u increases by =t(1-1/mu)=5(1-2/3)=5/3
so new dis tace=15+5/3=v
|

i think the image would be formed 15 cm behind the mirror..the slab does not effect the position of the image?..plz tell the correct answer!!

even i too think so.....how can the image due to reflection depend on the medium behind it??
