i think the max. possible deviation is (90-c).
when i=c
r=90
the angle formed bet ween initial direction of incident ray and normal is c.
r=90

dev.=r-i(when rays goes from denser to rarer medium.

there fore max. dev = 90-c

if satisfied don t forget to rate

deviation means the angle between the refracted ray and the initial direction of the incident ray.
so when a light ray travels from denser to rarer medium it bends away from normal. consequently r>i.
thereforen deviation = (r-i)

Can't deviation refer to the angle between incident and reflected ray (in this case)

Suppose the light ray strikes the interface at about 89.999...... degree .The the angle of reflection will be 89.9999..... Thus angle of deviation is 2(89.999...) which tends to be 180
