good question..........................pay attention everyone!!!!!

At night it is difficult to see through a closed glass window from a well lighted room but it is relatively easy when the room lights are switched off.WHY?

when we are standing in a well lighted room , we also see other lighed objects in the lighted room. this makes our iris shrink and we cannot see dark objects in another room. also sometimes the glass seperating the two rooms can act as a mirror, when angle of icedence is more than the critical angle so we cannot see beyond the glass as it starts acting as a mirror

in day we can see the objects through the glass of the window easily , because the light rays comming  from the outside objects gets refracted and enter in our eyes.

but in night there is no such ray comming from the objects, and the light which is present inside the room gets REFLECTED and aswell as REFRACTED . hence we see some part of image of our's (inside the room) and some part of the outer objects

i think this could be the reason for it . if im wrong plz tell
