A MAN IS INFRONT OF PLANE MIRROR .THE MAN WALKS TOWARDS THE MIRROR WITH SPEED OF 2 M/S WHILE MIRROR MOVE TOWARDS MAN WITH 1M/S WHAT WILL BE THE APPARENT SPEED OF IMAGE OF THE MAN AS SEEN BY HIMSELF?

let the initial istance of the oject frm the mirror e 10 m ......the image will also e at a istance of 10 m ehin the mirror ...i.i the istance etween the oject n the image is 20 m ........

nw after 1 sec ...the man moves 2 m towrs the mirror n the mirror moves 1 m towrs the man so nw the ist ween the oject n the mirror is 7 m n so the istance etween the image n the mirror will also e 7 m i.e the istance ween the man n the image will e 14 m ....

so THE APPARENT SPEED OF IMAGE OF THE MAN AS SEEN BY HIMSELF will e 6 m/s(20-14) ...............

rate if useful ....correct if wrong....

why dont u simply differentiate the magnification formula

m= -v/u

diff wrt to time, m=1(plane mirror)

-du/dt=dv/dt (both of these r wrt to the mirror)

u(absolute object speed)-x(absolute speed of mirror)=v(absolute image speed)-x

now cal ,v-u
