If a person is moving with a velocity of light having a plane mirror in his hand ...
he put this mirror in front of his face . Will the image of that person is formed on
mirror? explain it in detail

i think there will be no image formed coz' the person& mirror are moving with the speed of light, so light will not be able to reach the mirror & get reflected....

PLEASE RATE MY ANSWERS IF YOU FIND THEM USEFUL...

See.......light is da cause of reflection as well as refraction..now if da prson is moving wid da speed of light.....and sees his face in da mirror no image will b formed.....bcoz lyt is also movin at da same speed......it cannot move further and reflect back...even if da image forms da person movin at tat speed will not b able to see the image!!!!!!

Hope u got it!

Thank u!!!!!!!

hi akash i think lets not discuss questions like this, as the whole physics will fail if some one can move with speed of light. So giving any answer for this problem will be just a speculation and nothing more

hey aakash ur question cannot b answered coz even seculation is nt possible in this case
an unimaginable idea
i think v all agree to d fact tht nothing no theory is perfect
u hav to assume somthing or d other in every case
am i right  krishna gopal sir?
i think v shud leave dis questn rather than scratching our minds on it
ok!!

well, sorry guys, But I think differently. First of all one can never achieve the speed of light, and even assuming it is not valid. Suppose it is traveling at 99.9999999999..... C ( but not at C), even then the speed of light appears to the person as C. In whichever frame the person lies, speed of light does not change. It's the postulate upon which theory of special relativity is based.

So, he would definitely be able to see his image.

as mr. krishna gopal said this is like a fairy tale...

even considering the man to move with velocity of light, there will not be any image...

i agree with coolfishamit
light has the same speed 4 all reference frames

Well, this is the question Einstein posed to his wife while explaining to her the basic difficulties of his theories.
For further details see any site that discuss Einsteins works.
However, the question is not in the realm of JEE

Im thinking a little differently.Suppose the light is coming opp to the dirn of the man then there is a possibility of the light reflecting from his body to the mirror and from the mirror to the eyes.Hence you have a probablity of eeing your image. Hope you got my point

see the question that you have asked requires a lot of higher study (only mr. krishna will be able to understand it ).
while working with the frame moving with the speed of light one requires to take into consideration some laws of relastiviy into account .
in a more simpler language the 2 aspects of this are
1 length contraction
2 time dilation
(you must have heard them in some sci fic movies)
what you are trying to do in this ques is you  are trying to use the conventional model of length time and speed measurement which acc. to relativity is "not correct".
it is just not perfect.
theres a whole big book on relativistic time and length measurement.
if you still want to enquire about it then you might take a peek into you hc verma 2 volume last chapter.
and then look at this question with a fresh look.
