How many images will be formed if two mirrors are fitted on adjacent walls and one mirror on ceiling. (Ans is 7)
Sir please explain how to solve.

hello kab....so hows ur preparation going on....the question is good.....
 
its really simple to understand that the number of images formed by mirrors placed at 90.....((2^n)-1) images r formed where n r number of mirrors in contact......
 
now here there r 3 mirrors placed at 90 degrees to each other that makes n=3 and hence 7images....right

hey guys in this question no description is given about the position of the object then how the image no' s are determined

consider the 1st 2 mirrors(placed on adjacent walls) they will form 3 images(360/angle betn mirrors-1)now the mirror on the ceiling will form 1 image+3 images from the next 2 mirrors. hence total no of images formed=4(ceiling mirror)+3(adjacent walls)
