1. find the equation of line passing through ( -1, 3, 2) and perpendicular to the line x/1 = y/2 = z/3 and (x+2)/-3 = (y-1)/2 = (z+1)/5

and one more..........

2. find the lenght of perpendicular frm point (1, 2,3) to the point (x-1)/3 = (y-7)/-2 =(z-7)/-2

ans to this question is 7 units but i am getting in fraction!!

for ques 1 )

the line is perpendicular to lines with direction ratios (1,2,3) & (-3,2,5)

so it's direction ratios will be the cross product of above two i.e (4,-14,8)

so eq. of line is

x+1/4 = y-3/ -14 = z-2/8

i'm gettin the ans as root(373/17)

are u sure the ans. is 7

I also got root( 373/17) or root( 6341)/17

but our sir told that the answ is 7....
