If p(t+1/t , t-1/t) ie T + 1 divided by T, T- 1divided by T is a variable point, find its locus.

Hi sonali...see the reply to ur qn...

first of all, in finding the locus, all we have to do is find a relation between x and y....

in the qn u hav given, x= t+1/t and y=t-1/t are two equations....so, eliminate tin the equations to get locus....
for this, take the advantage of the fact that   t.1/t=1

so, we get  t.1/t  term when u consider  x^2-y^2....
so, find x^2-y^2....t will b eliminated and u will get eqn of locus..
