hi friend take
x=1+1/t
x-1=1/t-------------(1)
y=1-1/t
1-y=1/t-------------(2)
equate 1 and 2
1-y=x-1
2=x+y
hence the ans

x^2-y^2=4 cant be answer....  cuz on putting the values of x and y, as given, u'll get this result only for a particular value of t and not for any variable t... so this cant be the answer.. wat aman has solved is the rite one!!

Dear arun,

wht magiclko has written is write.

locus of the point will be the curve which contains all points that comes for all possible values of t.

so eq of locus must satisfies all such points but if you observe by putting your point on curve you will find that it will satisfies for only t=1

so please check the ans. once again.

if doubt any please ask.
