The equation to the tangent yo the parabola y^2=8x is y=x+2.The point on this line from which the other tangent to the parabola is perpendicular to given tangent is? easy one but I am not getting the answer, plz just send the answer the book says -2,0 I am getting -1,1

You can never solve a problem on the level on which it was created.
When you are courting a nice girl an hour seems like a second. When you sit on a red-hot cinder a second seems like an hour. That's relativity
Purpose of solving a problem is not simply to get the answer(the answer is only an evidence) but to develop your thinking ability |

Answer is (-2,0)

Equation of tangent is y=mx+a/m here a=2, m=1. For a tangent perpendicular to this tangent, m=-1. Therefore equation of the second tangent is y=-x-2. Solving the equations of both the tangents, you get (-2,0)
Rate me if satisfied. Tell me if not understood.
