how to caliculate temperature distribution in thin and small metal with out using thermal network theory approach in unstudy state and also cali culate how much time it will take to reach studystate

You will have to solve fourier equation of heat transfer on the basis of boundry condition. That is the basic equation. To find the time to reach steady state you will have to write unsteady state diffrential equation. But i feel that time required to reach steady state will be infinite

Hai,
      We can deal the problem with the use of databook where the problem is divided based on Biot Number. So i need Biot Number to give the method.
