dear friend,
first we have to disscuss about carnot cycle which is invented by carnot as a ideal and theoritical cycle. We can call it as a reference cycle having efficiency of 100%. In carnot cycle there is two isothermal and two adiabatic process. In practical it is impossible to maintain isothermal process and a reversible adiabatic process(isentropic process). Carnot just assume and find a ideal process. There is no carnot engine. In books they have written just for explaining the process alone and the other reason is carnot cycle is the basic cycle or ideal cycle for all other cycles like diesel,otto,rankine,brayton,stirling.... etc. Practically there is stirling engine which works on the basis of stirling cycle which have higher efficiency after carnot but there is also some problem inmaintaining temperature in that cycle so that there is no commercial availablity of stirling engine in large scale application...
I think i have solved your question....Any way mail me....

But what do you mean by the fact that the piston will move down automatically. What is the causing force.
