it is known that radiation emmited by any body does not affect the medium involved.
The sun is a radiating body but still it warms the atmosphere?Explain?

There is no better feeling in this world than being a winner!

The atmosphere is not heated by radiation to the sun but by refraction by the earth surface, conduction by the contact of air with surface(further by convection) and by green house effect.

u've got it all wrong .we say radiation does not require any medium . what u r saying is that radiation "does not affect " the mdium.so theres a lot of difference

basically not all the radiations emitted by sun heats up the atmosphere, but a particular radiation infrared heats up the atmosphere.
