A and B are 2 heat engines. A operates with revervoir temp. 500K and
300K .B operates with revervoir temp. 600Kand 450K . WHICH IS MORE
EFFICIENT AND HOW MUCH

HI
FOR A,
T1=500K  T2=300K
EFFI.. = 1- T2/T1 =40
FOR B,
EFFI.. = 25
HENCE A IS MORE EFFI... THEN B  BY 15

efficiency for a = n*100=2/5*100=40%
efficiency for b = n*100;1/4*100=25%

i agree with eshaan's law
but eshaan he has expressed it as percentage...... so he's absolutely rite

Hey ehsaan !
Prabhuling has done absolutely correct . You only saw the answer , not the method . 1-T2/T1 comes out to be 0.4 , but he has written the % . So , he is correct !

by using efficiency=1-t2/t1,we get
efficiency in A=0.4
and
in b,efficiency=0.25
thus,A has better efficiency than B.
