therms...cud u solve this??
None

An ideal gas has an initial pressure of 3 pressure units and an initial volume of 4 volume units. the table gives the final pressure and volume of the gas (in those same units) in five processes. Which processes start and end on the same isotherm?

see this is a simple one

u just need to obey boyle law

(since it is given that temp. should remain const..)

so u just need to check that P1V1 = P2V2

clearly all others satisfy except (c)

hope u got it

so when you say obey Boyl's law do you imply that....
PaVa = PbVb=.......
where Pa represents the diff in the int.and fin. pressures?? and similarly for V

no they represent absolute pressure and volume

let me give an example from the ques

given pa = 12 and va = 1

pb = 2 and vb = 2

so pa . va = pb. vb = 12 = pd.vd =  pe. ve is not equal to pc.vc

rate me

it is a,b,d,e. as in all these cases the temperatures are same as PV values are same.
PaVa = PbVb = PdVd = PeVe = 12
