How can you best use a spoon to cool a cup of coffee? Stirring?which involves doing work.
Would it seem to heat the coffee rather than cooling it?

i don thnk so..coz wen u stir it the aparent surface area of the cofy increases (as it forms a kind of whirlpool with a kinda cone shaped air space in the middle) hence heat radiated increases...and besides if u take ideal conditions, use a stainless steel spoon and as it is a good conductor of heat, it will absorb heat whch wil b desipated by ur hand...its jus wat im thnking.

supporting the answer of spearhead
stirring increses ke energy of molecule
as a result tendency of molecule to escape out of the surface as vapour increases
so vapours are easily formed
hence temprature decreses
alos the surface area increses
as result more area is exposed to radiate heat
hence the tempratutre willl cool down easily
