The syllabus says we gotta know about "oxides, hydroxides, carbonates, bicarbonates, sulphates and chlorides" of Sodium, Potassium, Calcium and Magnesium.
But not all of these are described in the 11th class NCERT chemistry book. Take for example sodium... only the oxides, hydroxide and carbonate are described. So are we supposed to just learn whats given, or use other sources?
And please don't reply in all caps ¬_¬.. it's annoying.

u hav 2 learn frm other sources.ncert books dont go into much depth in the subject matter........... its better u read it up frm some other source

Hi Ace!!!! NCERT takes you to the level just below IIT. NCert is best for AIEEE but for IIt you need to Consult some other books. Some of the nice ones are:- Inorganic chemistry : Dr. P Bahadur J D Lee Also Dr. O P Tandon books are good.
