I have been trying to study Qualitative Analysis and p-block elements, but I keep forgetting. Is there any way other than learning it by-heart. How much quesitons do they generally ask based on facts in inorganic chemistry ? ( Like reactions, colors of salts, etc ) Is it advisable to leave fact-based portions ( including qual.analysis ) in inorganic chemistry?

i suggest no.................... thats only part where you can be sure of earning marks........if you no it properly...... i suggest you learn the procedure for any 3 salts completely with permutation and combinations of radicals... learn the group reagents and write it once.... i mugged it up like that form tables of procedure, observations and inference(jus like you write nit in record )......before you know it will be on your brains..... same for p blocks.......... (preparations, properties, uses) pretend your a factory owner and you need those elements and you are trying to get i the most economical ways.......

Arre, thats not the way u study inorganic, you cant mug books like op tandon/arihant, fully, mar jaaoge. U can trust me, my chem is good(esp. inorganic&org.) There are only certain pts of each radical / element /grp that u can and must remember. like in any salt analysis questions, if they want to show gas co2 , they will say it makes lime water milky and dissolve in excess and et al.(Remember: so2 can also do this ) So just some keywords, to remember yaar, inorganic becomes easy.
