in d series size decreases from sc to Mn and at Mn it become constant and then incresaes

because

1)frm sc to Mn no of unpaired elecrons are more so attraction is more in addition with it d subshell has poor shielding effect(ie it allow the outermost elect to attract with inner protons)

while after Mn the no of unpired electrons start decresing so attractive force become less

remember in general size decreases along the period

1)due to poor shielding effect of d subshell
