Which pair is not correct of lattice energy?

(a) KCl > MgO    (b) AlN > MgO     

(c) BeCO3   > MgCO3 (d) BeCO3 = MgCO3

but how? isnt (c) and (d) contradictory

KCl dissolves much more readily in water than MgO. Hence, its Lattice enthalpy is lower.

crystal Latice energy is proportional to charge on the ion so obviously A is rite
 
see for C and D the answer is that it is almost similar but it depends on the surrounding and temp for comparing the CLE of BeCl2 and MgCL2!!!
