hi ppl, in group 13 and 14,the melting point decreases as we go down the group whereas it increases as we go down the group frm 15 to 18..normally a metal has a higher melting point than a non metal naa?is this due to the extensive catenation power of carbon??if thats true,then why does this happen in the 13th group also?/ plz help, ram.
