We know that permanent hardness can be removed by adding Na2CO3 or Calgon or zeolite or ion exchange resins .Then if it can be removed why is it called permanent?? ~The Sniper

Coz the hardness can't be treated by simple physical means like boiling etc (i guess)

Yes, Akhil_o is right. it is named so bcoz it cant be removed by boiling. but it can be removed by the substances mentioned by u.

i may bcoz it cannot be removed by simple techniques....
it requires complicated means like ion resin method or zeolite/permutite method......
possible right
