Why the acid strength increse in the order: PCl3 <AsCl3 <SbCl3

hi friend in PCl3 the size of Cl is more compareable to P as compared to As.Sb hence the extend of P =P back conding is more hence P causes more obstruction to the incoming proton as its exmpty shell gets partially filled this extend decrease from top to bottom in a group hence ans plzz rate me bye

aman.first of all ,there is no back bonding in 15 group elements.i think down the group, the bond angle decreases hence dipole moment in the direction of the lone pairs increases and hence the given order.but still, ask the experts .

Why the acid strength increse in the order:
PCl3 Lewsi acid is e- pair acceptor Sb is more electropositive than As than P so as Sb has more vacant d orbitals than As it can accept electrons more easily

We know that as we go down the group electropositive nature increase and the electron cloud is more towards chlorine in SbCl3 than in other cases and it has more tendency to accept electrons

look............ acidic strenght also depends on DISTRIBUTION OF CHARGE ON THE MOLECULE........ (UNDERSTOOD). larger the distribution .............higher the acidic strength............ now as we go down........... d electrons increases............... thus electrons are transferred to d block............( if not filled) and as we go down........... no. of d orbitals arefound empty............ right.......( that is d pi - dpi bonding) therefore acidic strength increases............. thanku

the acidic nature of PCl3, AsCl3 and SbCl3 is becauz the electron withdrwaing nature of Cl ions, as thr are 3 Cl ions attached to P atoms, it gets a partial positive charge due to which it can accept electrons, hence getting acidic, now it increases down the grp as cuz of the bigger size of cation, it can accomodate more -ve charge.... so it follows the given trend

down the grp vaccent d orbital increases so electrophilic nature increases while we know that there is dpi-ppi back bonding in case of PCl3 so lewis acid nature decreases so much.this is acidic strength in terms of lewis.
