Melting Point initially increases DOWN the group from Nitrogen to Arsenic but then decreases for Sb and Bi because of INERT PAIR EFFECT.....due to which Sb and Bi are left with only three electrons to form bonds with.....while for P and As 5 electrons were available to form covalent bonds with.....so bonding in Sb and Bi becomes weaker and their m.p lowers..........

and for the second question there might be some PRINTING MISTAKE in the book.......in place of CO there it should be NH3....and the reason goes with Le-Chatelier's Principle........
