Quite Confusing

Why Boric acid shows the basicity of only 1 ,though it has three hydrogen atoms??

Boric acid does not give its own hydrogen..Boric Acid undergoes hydrolysis in which protons are produced by splitting of water mnolecules therefore it is monobasic...B(OH)3 + 2 H2O is in equilibrium with B(OH)4? + H3O+.
