i think its answer is a and b.............

becoz.....low IE is responsible and due to emmisson spectrum it exhibits color...

may be correct...

It is due to Low I.E. of sodium. When metal introduced in to the flame electrons jumps to higher energy level and when electron come back to ground state it emits radiations in the form of light which falls in visible reigon and corresponding colour to the flame

e.g Na = yellow K = violet etc

but how can it explain the specific yellow color ????? dnt you think it must be due to its emmisive spectrum ???
