transition metals

Engineering Entrance , Medical Entrance , AIPMT , JEE Main , AIIMS , JEE Advanced , Chemistry , Inorganic Chemistry

transitional metals are those which have incomplete d-orbital.Zn has a complete d-orbitals is it atransitional metal?any other d block metals are not transitional???

zinc is not cosidered as a transition metal because it has completly filled d- orbital in ground state as well as in excited state.

transition metal are those d block elements which have incomplete d orbital either in ground state or in most stable oxidation statehence Zn, Cd, Hg are not called as transition elements but are only d block element...

all d block elements are not transition metals.but transition metals are d block elements

zn is not t.m but it is a d block element
