Colligative properties are properties that are changed in a solution compared to pure solvent. Lowering of Vapour pressure, elevation of boiling point, depression of freezing point, osmotic pressure, etc.

colligative properties are the classical method to calculate the molecular mass of unknown solute.
these properties depend upon the no of particle and not on the nature of particle.
egs eleivation in boiling point, relative lowreing of vp ,depression in freezing point and osmotic pressure
