co-ordination compound
None

why in Pt complexes  like in [Pt(NH3)4][PtCl6] first Pt atom is divalent and second is tetravalent

Pt shows both type of cordination number 4 and 6.with strong ligand like CO,CN-,NH3 its cordination number is 4 while with weak ligand like halogen,OH-,H2O it cordination no.is 6

but in case of NH3,H2O we cant say that it is behaving as strong or weak ligand how can we consider it as weak or strong plez reply

I think U should first go through the werner's theory that is the coordination polyhedra formed are with the most susceptible oxidation state of the metal in the coordination sphere. And one must remember that in such complexes metals like platinum always show a bivalent character that is least oxidation state with strong ligand and highest oxidation state with weak field ligand.

And in terms of crystal field theory, with the strong field ligands, the crystal field splitting energy should b less than that of the pairing energy so that the upcoming elctron can enter the Eg orbital and give a stable oxidation state.

Well sanat_sachar to Ur question is the precedence order. In the spectrochemical series H2O comes before NH3 which means that water is a weak field ligand as compared to ammonia. So the same trend is followed.

Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
