hi all

PLEASE READ THIS COMPLETELY I AM IN DESPERATE NEED

gave jee this year (2007), got no rank(made that iist thing). my aieee rank was 10000 approx and state rank 570 from maharashtra. very poor show from me
(i made many many mistakes in aieee and lost 25+ marks in silly mistakes, i could have got around 4000 air in aieee) and i am determined to repeat a year. i have made up my mind to study at kota. this is NOT the problem i face.that was just an intro.

this is the problem
i want to know what the difference is between bansal and resonance.(MAINLY RESONANCE DETAILS)
no doubt the former is much better, since 1400 students got ranks in jee from bansal kota, and only 461 from the kota branch of resonance.
for certain reasons i MAY HAVE TO GOto resonance and not bansal, if that is to happen what am i facing? i know nobody who has gone through resonance, but some people who passed jee from bansals say that bansal has the most superior competitive pattern and resonance is not good enough.i want to know all the pros and cons of this.

please people who have done this help me!!!!

i am extremely scared of my parents who taunt me about having pretended to have studied all this while(NOT TRUE, but the marks dont show).sadly both the main exams i had to write went poorly :(

i cannot afford to make another mistake the shame is too great to bear, all my family relatives my age have ranks in jee within 2000, and i have nothing..

so i need to know exactly what to do, and for this i need these details.

chances are that i will be in RESONANCE, so i am mainly interested in what goes on there compared to bansal.

also the resonance site said that medium of instruction in mainly hindi.. i am quite poor at speaking hindi, and want to know whether this may pose a problem to me..if they mean by that that the prof will say" ab electron yahaan se wahaan jayegi kyuunki potential aisi ....." then its ok, but bigger words will be bad.

some advice here would also help...

still i will suggest u to go to bansal. why not joining an institute which is showing better result.

For IITJee I suggest u to join BANSAL CLASSES.

yaar, same is the condition of mine. wat i wud lik to suggest you is to study on your own & use test series of bansal . cause theres an iitian friend of mine who was from bansal, was realy a nut but still made his way through, he said that all the coaching classes have the same pattern of teaching but it is the competition in bansal that makes it unique, so why not to join the test series, and if one teaches in hindi or english message is just the same no?

I personally feel resonance has better standard of questions fot the new pattern. Resonance may exceed bansal classes this year.

Don't worry shreyasnivas. Resonance is better than Bansal Classes.
This time Bansal classes have many selections . But that does not mean that this year too it will come out on top.People would have said Resonance if resonance had more selections this year.

I beg to differ from the view of Jyoti123 . I was in Bansal Classes
this past year(sucessful in JEE) and i have heard this statement,
"Resonance will one day surpass Bansal " from a very very long time . Even my seniors have often told me they have got sick of such statements . When will that one day comes God only knows. But why wait for that one day to come ?? Let it come when it has to come . Who knows if u go in Resonance u would also be tired of hearing the same statement while u can definitely see the difference between the two institutes and repent ur decision , maybe .

I dont say that Resonance is a bad institute . Its quite good. But after all its a rising star . I think no one in his right mind should go for the rising star if u can go to The Numero Uno. As it is the matter of one's career !!!!!!!!

And speaking of Bansals , thay r awesome, man. The faculty is damn good and the competition cutthroat . It urges you to go forward by all means. If u can still go into Bansals i think it'll be one of the best decisons of ur life .

But before taking any decision , just listen to ur mind once not the heart and by weighing both the sides appropriately take ur decision . Good luck.
