i want to know what shud b the correct methadology for studing for iit jee..

Shud ve make notes of wat ever we read and keep track of questions we do.?(currently i m doing that) , or the notes are of no use later ( it consumes a lot of time bt helps to remember)?

shud we read a topic (wen it starts in institute) by 1 book n solve the questions n den read frm other books.?

or read from 2 to 3 books to b perfect in concepts, make notes, revise them n den solve  problems .( currently i m doing that, bt has reduced by time for problem solving).

the prob for me has been that i start a topic  , i read it frm 1 book, write wat i read (to remember ) , then frm another n so on nand in lastround i think a lot of cases, complications, tricks , observation, techniques etc n write their notes simultaneously. then i solve questions n after its soln i write the trick behind it.  with this my concepts are superstrong and also i m able to understand everythng due to writting. bt den less time is left for problem solving. is this method right or shud i change it. plz tell me  if i m preparing rightly  or my efferts wll b of no use. i m completely determined to crack iitjee.

Studying methodology for any examination should be Steady and Time bounded. There are no rule to study , the rule should be yours and for you . However few of the common things that any entrance examination require are

(1) Read the concept from good refernce Book of the subject take help from your teacher regarding anything that you find difficult to understand , NEVER let any thing go with out understanding

(2) Solve the solved examples for undertanding the problem solving techniques.

(3) Try solving the excercice on your own , BECAREFUL about the time you are sending on  any problem

(4) Avoid solving unnecessary problems , which might require higher mathematics or topics beyond IIT JEE syllabus ( Keep it for Research for future )
