You have to rember one thing in mind, whatever course you join- correspondance or coaching class, hard work is a must. There is no shortcut to success.Whatever tests are conductd you have to take them seriously, after test you have to review where you went wrong and then improve your weakness. do not hesitate to put your doubts to your teachers. Fitjee/ Narayana course material is good, standard of test is also good. Rember course material/ coaching class is going to contribute only 30%, rest is your effort. Have a firm commitment that you are going to IIT and start preparing. Best wishes.

i agree with madhusudhan. In addition,as IIT JEEis turning to be more fundamental oriented rely upon Resnick/H.C.verma.Morrison and Boyd,J.D.lee,R.D.sharma,NCERT for physical chem to more extent. However u shud go thro some JEE material(whatever it may be) only to know the possible types of problems.

see, i am no expert neither am i some person who got a fabulous rank in AIEEE/IIT.....i have not even give them as yet.......but this is what i think......if u r gonna join IP.....i assume u r gonna do IIT prep on ur own without any classes......in such a case i think FIITJEE is not the best choice.....its not a thumb rule but since i myself have not joined any classes...i think so......not only does FIITJEE lack theory but also level of questions is tremendously difficult.....if u have no one to tell u that a certain problem is too difficult and will never come in exams it is bound to eat ur head.......FIITJEE tests are also Way above wat JEE is......i doubt anyone will object to it....i am not trying to be ANTI-FIITJEE or anything.......its good......in fact gr8 but not if u want theory + sums...FIITJEE RSM is really good i heard but i cant give u any first hand thoughts on that....i have brilliant ka 2003 version and its really good.......especially for maths and chem........narayana is also good.......but as per what my seniors told me.......its much better to buy O P agrawal/hcverma/mlkhanna/dasgupta etc in that money and learn all the concepts.......and about mock tests........u can always buy a seat for rs.300 For AITS and stuff.....best of luck
